Accessibility Features and Rider Information for Cybercab
Cybercab accessibility details including vehicle dimensions, app screen reader support, language options, and rider policies for children and pets.
Cybercab is built to serve a wide range of riders, and knowing what to expect before you book helps you plan your trip with confidence. This page covers the physical dimensions of the cabin, app accessibility features, language support, and important policies for riders with mobility needs, children, and pets.
Vehicle Dimensions #
Cybercab’s key interior and exterior measurements are: step-in height 16.3 in (414 mm), ground clearance 5.7 in (144 mm), head room 38.3 in (972 mm), leg room 43.4 in (1103 mm), shoulder room 51.8 in (1317 mm), hip room 50.1 in (1273 mm), trunk volume 20.2 cu ft (572 L), and trunk capacity 220 lbs (100 kg).
App Accessibility #
The Robotaxi app is compatible with screen readers on both iOS and Android, allowing riders who are blind or have low vision to navigate the booking flow independently.
The Robotaxi app is available in Arabic, Chinese (Simplified), Chinese (Taiwanese / Traditional), Croatian, Czech, Danish, Dutch, English, English (British), Finnish, French, French (Canadian), German, Hungarian, Icelandic, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Norwegian, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, Slovenian, Spanish, Swedish, Thai, and Turkish.
To change the app language, update the language setting on your iOS or Android device. The app will follow your system language automatically.
Wheelchair and Mobility Aids #
Cybercab is not a wheelchair-accessible vehicle (WAV). There is no ramp, lift, or floor space to accommodate a rider seated in a powered or manual wheelchair. This service option is not available at this time.
If you use a folding manual wheelchair, you may be able to store it in the trunk while riding in a cabin seat. The trunk holds up to 220 lbs (100 kg) across 20.2 cubic feet (572 L) of space and can fit one small folded wheelchair. You are responsible for folding and loading the wheelchair before your ride begins, and for retrieving it at your destination.
Ordering a Ride for Someone Else #
You cannot book a Cybercab ride on behalf of another person using your account. The Robotaxi app uses the ride requester’s phone to automatically detect when you approach the vehicle and unlock the doors. The person riding must be present with the phone used to book the trip.
Children and Infants #
Minors under the age of 13 are not permitted to ride in Cybercab at this time, regardless of whether they are accompanied by an adult.
Cybercab does not have a LATCH or ISOFIX child seat anchor system. If you are traveling with a child who requires a booster seat, the booster must use the seat-belt-retained method only. No forward-facing or rear-facing infant car seats that require a LATCH anchor can be safely secured in Cybercab.
Keep the seat back reclined less than 35 degrees from vertical when a booster seat is in use, and ensure all occupants are buckled before the ride begins.
Pets #
Pet policies may vary and are subject to change. Check the Robotaxi app, the Terms of Service, and the Rider Rules at tesla.com/support/robotaxi for the current pet policy before booking a ride with an animal.
Booking Without a Mobile Device #
A smartphone running the Robotaxi app is currently required to book a Cybercab ride. The app is needed both to request the vehicle and to enable automatic door opening when you arrive at your pickup location. Rides cannot be booked by phone call, website, or any other method at this time.
