How to Contact Robotaxi Support During or After a Ride
Ways to reach Tesla Robotaxi Support from inside the vehicle, through the app, and by phone — plus how to report lost items after your trip.
Robotaxi Support is available to help you during and after every Cybercab ride. Whether you have a question mid-trip, need assistance after arriving, or discovered you left something behind, the options below cover every way to get in touch. In any life-threatening situation, always call 911 before reaching out to Robotaxi Support.
Contacting Support #
If you are in imminent danger, call 911 immediately. Do not wait to contact Robotaxi Support first. Once emergency services have been alerted, you can follow up with Robotaxi Support at (877) 798-3752.
You can reach Robotaxi Support through three channels: tap the Contact Support button on the Cybercab touchscreen to initiate a support call directly from the cabin; call Robotaxi Support at (877) 798-3752 from your mobile device at any time before, during, or after a ride; or use the Robotaxi app to contact Support or report issues related to your ride, including lost items.
Speaking with Support from Inside the Cabin #
Cybercab has a built-in two-way communication system — a microphone and speakers — that lets you speak with a Support representative without using your phone. When a Support call is active, an orange indicator appears in the touchscreen menu bar to show that the cabin microphone is live.
Cabin Camera During a Support Call #
Cybercab includes a cabin camera located near the dome lights. During a support call, a Robotaxi Support representative may access the cabin camera feed to better understand your situation and provide assistance. A green indicator appears in the touchscreen menu bar whenever the cabin camera is actively transmitting.
How Sound Detection Works #
The cabin microphone does not record continuously. Audio is transmitted only when you initiate a support request by tapping Contact Support on the touchscreen or pressing the STOP button, or when a safety event is automatically detected by the vehicle.
When audio is transmitted due to a safety event, a Robotaxi operator may review a short recording, provide live assistance, and follow up with you after the trip.
Privacy and Camera Settings #
You can opt in to share cabin camera analytics with Tesla to help improve the Cybercab service. This data is not linked to your Tesla Account and cannot be used to identify you. You can change this preference at any time through the Robotaxi app settings.
After every trip ends, the cabin camera is used to confirm that the vehicle is clean and ready for the next rider, and to check for any items left behind. For full details on how Tesla handles data collected during your ride, review the Tesla Robotaxi Privacy Notice at https://tesla.com/legal/privacy/robotaxi.
Reporting Lost Items #
If you leave something in a Cybercab, report it as soon as you realize it is missing. Found items are held for a maximum of 10 days, so acting quickly gives you the best chance of recovering your belongings.
Launch the Robotaxi app on your iOS or Android device and sign in to your Tesla Account if prompted.
Tap the Menu icon in the top-right corner of the app, then select Ride History.
Find and tap the ride during which you lost the item. Rides are listed in reverse chronological order.
Tap Start Lost Item Report and fill out the form with a description of the item and any other relevant details.
Submit the form. Robotaxi Support will review your report and follow up with instructions for retrieval if your item is located.
Lost items are stored for a maximum of 10 days from the date of your ride. Submit your report as soon as possible — unclaimed items cannot be held beyond this window.
